A DAY TO REMEMBER AT SOUTHSIDE BALLROOM IN DALLAS
A Day to Remember are back on tour and I don’t even know where to begin with my experience of the show on the Dallas tour date. I was both unbelievably excited and nervous to get shoot two of my favorite bands growing up; bands that began to shape my music taste into what it is today for the first time.
Starting off the night was Point North. I had heard nothing but good things about Point North and after following their drummer on TikTok, I was stoked to see them in action as well. They failed to disappoint, because these guys came out swinging and had the venue amped from the first two songs. Not only were they full of energy but had an amazing stage presence.
Right after them came Asking Alexandria who I hadn’t seen since Warped Tour 2011, and the high schooler in me couldn’t help but to belt out lyrics as Danny and the guys put on a show reminiscent of the same one back in 2011. Boy what a feeling that was.
Speaking of reminiscent, A Day To Remember played a show that was pure absolute nostalgia. I remember my first time seeing them, Jeremy came out in the hamster ball and walked the crowd. They surely didn’t pull any punches with this show. From the set list, to the beach balls, lights, streamers, and displays reminiscent of their house party tour with fireworks, it was, and is, a hard feeling to put into words. Watching the crowd sing, dance, and crowd surf crowd surfers was amazing. Do yourself a favor and catch their next date nearest to you.
