FOX REVETT AND LAILA KHAROUBA RELEASE SINGLE "I THINK I'M MISSING"
Long time friends and pop singer-songwriters Fox Revett and Laila Kharouba have teamed up for their first duet, “I Think I’m Missing”. This is the second version of this song that Fox Revett has released, as he initially released a solo version back in November. The song still explores loss of self and pursuit of dreams in favor of something easier and more attainable. With the added version of Laila’s verse, it not only covers the theme, but discusses her recent break up and, “giving myself to someone not deserving”. The song is a pop ballad in a dreamy ethereal soundscape. The song was just released on December 16.
“Fox and I have been making music together since we were 16 year old theater kids,” says Kharouba.
The song was originally recorded during rainstorms. Revett was inspired by nature and wildlife, so he sampled a lot of the outdoors' sounds and ran it through programs like auto-tune to build instruments for the song.
The track also marks the first solo release for Laila and a lot more to come.
