AUGUST BURNS RED AT HOUSE OF BLUES IN DALLAS, TX

AUGUST BURNS RED AT HOUSE OF BLUES IN DALLAS, TX

I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this August Burns Red “10 years of Constellations” tour. Let me start by telling you one thing: I’ve never seen the House of Blues venue in Dallas packed from start to finish. The lineup was stacked with August Burns Red, Silent Planet, and Silverstein. From the beginning of the show I was seeing people of all ages, but I was shocked to see there was definitely more of an older crowd for this show.

Garrett Russell from Silent Planet came out swinging and getting the crowd rowdy for what was to come. By the third song, there was already a mosh pit and crowd surfers. There was definitely nobody in the venue just standing around. It was my first time seeing them and I loved the energy they brought. I legitimately thought they’d tire everyone out before Silverstein and ABR.

Nevertheless, when Shane Told of Silverstein hit the stage, the energy in the venue doubled in intensity. It was an amazing thing to witness. They covered a wide selection of their discography, having everyone singing from the top of their lungs to screaming in a moment’s notice. I have seen Silverstein many times, yet every show keeps getting better than the last and seems like the first time all over again. These guys put on an amazing performance.

Then at last we had August Burns Red hit the stage, and everyone erupted. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t ecstatic when they came out. When I say everyone was loving the set I, mean everyone. For the first time ever I saw security giving stank faces and head banging along. I’d stop myself to join every now and then. To end the show there was a phenomenal drum solo and four-song encore, with Jake Luhrs coming back out to play guitar and Shane Told of Silverstein doing guest vocals. If you didn’t see this show you severely missed out!
