On February 7, 2019, the Nashville based Pop/Rock group, Carverton, endured a loss when their lead singer, Kyle Yorlets, was killed in an armed robbery. Michael Curry, Christian Ferguson, and Michael Wiebell remember Kyle as a fun, loving, happy-go-lucky individual. One week ago, the band members gathered at Belmont University to honor and memorialize Kyle in a beautiful ceremony of speeches, videos, and most important to share his music.

Today, Carverton has decided to honor Kyle by releasing their anticipated album (originally due out on March 29th). Chasing Sounds, produced/engineered by Danen Rector and mixed/engineered by Christian Ferguson, features 13 songs about following adventures through life's trivial ups and downs. Each song is about pivotal points in one's life, leaving the listener feeling welcomed and accepted to a community that appreciates personal growth during the hardest of times. Donations from the album will go to a scholarship and foundation in Kyle's name.

Hello friends, family and fans of Carverton

On February 7th, 2019, we lost the spirit and soul of our band, Kyle Yorlets. Although he may be gone, he will live in our hearts forever. Today, we wanted to share our full-length record that we have been working on for the past year. It was a dream for Kyle to have his art shared with the world, and we wanted to honor his legacy by giving everyone a chance to listen and own the record we have worked so hard on for all these months.

Chasing Sounds is an album that has demanded all of our blood, sweat, and tears. We know the only true  satisfaction we could ever get from this is if you all love it as much as we loved making it. We've been eagerly waiting to release this, and despite the circumstances that we have been up against, we can't wait for you all to hear what we and Kyle have been working on this past year.

The record will tap into emotions one experiences while both in and out of love, while feeling helpless, on top of the world, or simply not caring about anything at all. The themes and lyrics expressed throughout are inviting, but might leave you feeling exposed. We ask you to take a moment to celebrate these tracks, to celebrate the love and dedication Kyle placed within these songs for the people he loved both near and far.

We have decided that before releasing this record on Spotify, Apple Music and the streaming & download world, that we will make this record free for everyone to download with the ability to pay what you want for the record. 50% of all donations will go towards setting up a Scholarship & Foundation in Kyle's name. We know that Kyle will be chasing sounds forever, and we hope that you will join him and us in that journey.

With love,

Michael Curry, Christian Ferguson and Michael Wiebell
