COUNTDOWN TO BUKU - WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO
New Orleans is historically known for its attachment to the arts and BUKU is no exception from that rule. This Friday-Saturday event is filled to the brim with crowd pulling national acts, the finest local musicians, and show stopping graffiti galleries. Scheduled a little more than two weeks after Mardi Gras, BUKU gives you the opportunity to beat those after-party blues while having already nursed that hangover.
This year’s lineup has a little something for everyone. DJs Excision, Dog Blood, and Getter will be bringing out the club kids. Dashboard Confessional, Lana Del Rey, and Mayday Parade will be inducing the feels and giving you something to cry about. A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti, and Denzel Curry are there to pick you back up and have you moving.
With Skrillex performing with Dog Blood and a From First To Last DJ set featuring Matt and Travis we can’t help but hope and speculate there will be a teaser for their Emo Nite LA + BUKU after-party. We’re also looking forward to breakout star Ella Mai - we recently had the pleasure of covering at her Seattle, WA tour date and were blown away. That said, the festival features a lot of firsts for us and we could not be more excited to explore the talents of this incredible curated lineup of artists.
Hosted in a prime location beside the Mississippi River and featuring upgraded stages, BUKU 2019 is going to be a party you’ll be talking about long after the buzz fades and the ringing in your ears subsides. There is a history of the event selling out and we guarantee you’re going to have serious FOMO if you haven’t already purchased your tickets - you can do so HERE.
