DISTURBED AT BRIDGESTONE ARENA IN NASHVILLE

Disturbed, the iconic heavy metal band known for their electrifying performances and powerful anthems, took the stage at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN, and delivered a fiery performance that left the audience in awe.

As the band emerged from behind a white curtain covering the stage, you could see their silhouettes being illuminated by both lights and fire that would mark the night’s performance as one for the ages. Once the curtain came down, you were able to see the source of the lights, which was a massive lighting and pyrotechnic rig, the likes of which I have never seen. This rig wasn’t stationary, and in addition to holding rows of flames and lights and other pyrotechnic devices, it moved throughout the night to make different shapes to accompany the current song being played. Adding in other pyro devices stationed around the stage on the floor and sparklers that descended from the rafters, the stage set was an impressive sight to behold.

Beginning the night with “Hey You” and “Stupify”, the band made a statement early on that they were ready to rock. The setlist in it’s entirety was a carefully curated mix of classic hits and tracks from their latest album, ensuring that longtime fans and newcomers alike were treated to a memorable experience. Playing songs such as “Ten Thousand Fists”, “Bad Man”, and their latest single “Don’t Tell Me” with special guest, Plush vocalist, Mariah Formica, the band made sure there was something for everyone.

One of the highlights of the evening was the band's performance of "The Sound of Silence", a hauntingly beautiful cover that showcased Draiman's vocal range and emotional depth. Accompanied by a piano played by guitarist Dan Donegan, that was also part of the pyrotechnic effects, it was a special moment for all in attendance.  During “Stricken”, Disturbed was joined on stage by Nashville resident Chris Daughtry to sing the popular song.

As he is known for, Draiman took many opportunities throughout the night to interact with the audience, delivering his message of hope and solidarity to the masses. During each show of the tour, one fan is selected from the earlier meet and greet to join the band on stage during the song “The Light” which also had the rest of the audience participating by lighting the stage with their cell phones when those two words were sung from the stage. It made for a poignant and beautiful moment.

Ending the night with “Unstoppable”, “Down With The Sickness”, and “Inside The Fire”, the band made sure to send everyone home with a smile and their fists in the air.

If there was one word to describe this show, it would be fire. From the stunning pyrotechnics that Disturbed brought to the passionate performance that each band members put on, this entire show was the epitome of a blazing inferno in all the best ways.
