FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS AT STONE PONY SUMMERSTAGE IN ASBURY PARK

For most shows, audiences are lucky enough to witness one great talent, let alone multiple, but that was the case when Fitz and The Tantrums opened up for acclaimed rock band OAR at the Stone Pony Summerstage recently! Fitz and The Tantrums have garnered a loyal following over the past few years with their upbeat, high-energy sound and their equally dynamic and interactive live show. Despite being an opener, Fitz and The Tantrums more than brought headliner level energy to their set. Front man Michael Fitzpatrick’s animated and exuberant style was consistently exciting to watch and the band’s chemistry together was truly electric throughout! Co-vocalist Noelle Scaggs also was a highlight as her powerful and soulful delivery brought plenty of emotion, and her interactions with the crowd were vibrant and well-placed. We have to give credit also to the rest of the backing band for their strong musical chemistry, with major props to the band’s saxophonist, James King, who stole the show more than a few times throughout! As a live act, Fitz and The Tantrums are big on audience participation and interaction, and this allowed for the show to feel truly inclusive and immersive. Thankfully the audience was on board and the connection between the band and their fans made the show even more exciting and enjoyable to experience.

One of the most refreshing aspects of Fitz and The Tantrum’s show was their message of positivity and unity that resonated both through their music and engagement with their fans. The crowd for them was diverse, ranging from fans young and old, and that shared community was truly refreshing to watch. Overall, Fitz and The Tantrums made the most of their performance with a joyous, exhilarating, and interactive set that proved why they’re a sought after and noteworthy act!
