Four Year Strong's 12th Annual Holiday Show at The Palladium in Worcester, MA
Seeing Four Year Strong perform live is always a fantastic event, but being able to witness them playing in front of a hometown crowd makes it even better.
The 12th annual Holiday Show took place at The Palladium in Worcester, MA. The night started with, Boston based band, Bloom. The band performed some of their top songs like “Cold” and “Who You’ve Become”.
Following the opening act was a band, from Ottawa, Canada, called Bearings. This was a new band for me and to be honest, they’ve become one of my new favorite bands. Getting to watch them perform “Eyes Closed”, “Stuck in a Door Frame” and “Letters Home” was an amazing experience.
Next up was the Long Island based band, The Movielife. They put on an impressive set that had the crowd moving the entire time. The band disbanded back in 2003 but came back together in 2014 and have been killing it ever since. Seeing them was an incredible time.
The last opener of the night was Knuckle Puck. They were brought onto the show last minute and the crowd went crazy for them. They started their set off by playing “No Good” followed by “Disdain”. Throughout their set they played more crowd favorites from their 2015 album, ‘Copacetic’. Knuckle Puck’s performance of “Gone” really made their whole set for me and I can’t wait to see them again. I haven’t seen this band in a while but it’s always a good time when they’re around.
Finally it was time for Four Year Strong to come on. The band came out from backstage bathed in light as the crowd cheered from every part of the room. Four Year Strong kicked off their set with favorites like, “It Must Really Suck to Be Four Year Strong Right Now” , “Tonight We Feel Alive (On a Saturday)” and “We All Float Down Here.” The whole production of their set was just as amazing as their music. With all the colors and different lights, coming from every direction, you could really tell that they put a lot of thought into their production.
Throughout Four Year Strong’s set, they were also filming a music video, which meant we got to hear a new song. Since the show they have released new singles and have announced their new album, ‘Brain Pain’, will be released on February 28th. This will be their first album in five years and I can’t wait to get to hear the rest. The band played songs from all albums and had such a solid set list. The 12th annual holiday show was a success and I already can’t wait for the next!
