MATT MAESON AT 9:30 CLUB IN WASHINGTON, D.C
Matt Maeson is currently making his way on tour throughout the US for his most recent album, Rational, and Sound Bites Media was lucky enough to see his show at the legendary 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. The last time I saw Matt Maeson live was at Firefly Music Festival, in broad daylight with a massive crowd singing along to his songs. The singer-songwriter, known for his emotionally charged lyrics and powerful vocals, did not disappoint the packed crowd.
The evening started with opener, Brennan Smiley, who played a solo set that was an amazing start to the evening to prepare everyone for Matt’s set. Maeson then kicked off his show with the folksy “That’s My Cue”, and from there, the energy continued to build. Fans sang along to every word of his popular tracks, such as “Cringe” and “Hallucinogenics”.
Throughout the night, Maeson’s energy was infectious, and his genuine appreciation for his fans was evident. He frequently thanked the crowd for coming out and spoke about how much he loves performing live.
The 9:30 Club, which has hosted some of the biggest names in music over the years, was the perfect venue for Maeson’s raw, unapologetic sound. The intimate space allowed fans to feel like they were a part of the show, and Maeson’s dynamic stage presence kept them engaged from start to finish.
You can catch Matt Maeson on the rest of his US tour dates or at multiple festivals around the country, such as Bonnaroo in Tennessee, and City Gates in Colorado. With his unique sound and undeniable talent, Maeson is definitely an artist to watch in the coming years.
