NOW, NOW AT UNION TRANSFER IN PHILADELPHIA, PA

Now, Now is on the road for their co-headlining tour with Foxing, with support from Daddy Issues. If you’re looking for a chill night out look no further - this tour provides the perfect balance of ambient energy and jams.

When Daddy Issues took the stage, the crowd perked up and bobbed their heads along to the music. Daddy Issues is a fully female band and they fully kick ass. During their set they took time out to discuss serious issues include sexual assault and abuse. Overall, they gave a very genuine vibe.

Hitting the stage first out of the co-headliners was Now, Now. The band kept quite the ominous atmosphere through the use of darker, moody lighting. Several times throughout the set Cacie reached down and shared some intimate moments with fans against the stage (no barricade). The crowd sang and hopped around to hits such as “Wolf”, “SGL”, and “Holy Water”. Something to note was that it appears as though there was a touring member missing. It did sound as if there were layers missing in the sound compared to their studio versions. While this did take away from the performance for me a little, it certainly didn’t damper the excitement I felt to finally hear the band live. They really are great performers. Also, a set list spoiler alert, the majority of the tracks performed were off of the last album “Saved”. The exception to this was the track “Wolf” which they opened with.

Closing the night was Foxing, who delivered an energetic, yet laid back performance. The minute I see a saxophone take the stage at any show I get wildly excited. The instrument always brings a new layer of fun to a band’s sound. Foxing work well as a group together and delivered a fantastic performance as well.

If you’re looking for a relaxed night out I would recommend catching this tour. Grab a drink, hang back, and let yourself jam.
