PARACHUTE DAY AT NIGHTSHOP IN BLOOMINGTON, IL

In celebration of their new EP release, Parachute Day has hit the road! I was able to catch the first night of the tour in Bloomington, IL at nightshop. Supporting them were Past Life, Airplane Radio, and Bottom Bracket.

Opening up the night were Pennsylvania natives, Past Life! These bright and smiley guys lit up the venue with their music. One of the many stops on their SXSW tour happened to be Bloomington and to say they won over the hearts of central Illinois is an understatement! They put on a colorful set and set the bar for the night.

Up next was Airplane Radio. Spread out across Bloomington and Bourbonnais, IL, the guys in this band come together to create some fun tunes. Each member was full of passion during each song.

Next up was Springfield’s very own Bottom Bracket. As always, they delivered! They never fail to keep central Illinois on their toes with their energetic and fun sets. These friends are full of talent.

Lastly, central Illinois favorite, Parachute Day, hit the stage! This math rock band stayed true to their Facebook bio, “all strings, no sings,” and played some bangers. Each member was full of energy and passion. These guys are always so fun to watch because of their contagious smiles and love for their music!

If you get the chance, please catch Past Life on their tour and listen to Parachute Day’s new EP! Both bands are so deserving of all the support and talented in their own ways!
