PVRIS AT BOTTOM LOUNGE IN CHICAGO, IL FOR THEIR RIOT FEST 2019 AFTER SHOW
After what seemed like a rather lengthy two years, Pvris made a powerful return to Chicago on their Fall 2019 tour. The band successfully sold out every show on the tour, including their Riot Fest After Show at Bottom Lounge. Fans came together and celebrated Friday the 13th in an appropriate way - by singing along to Pvris’ grunge-y songs.
The band made an exciting entrance with their song, “Mirrors”. They immediately jumped from the first era of Pvris, White Noise, to their latest era by playing “Hallucinations”. This song got the crowd pumped up and excitement floated around the room. The band played songs off of White Noise such as “Fire”, “Smoke”, and “Holy”. They also played a song not often played live from that album called “Eyelids”. Pvris also incorporated popular songs from their last full length album All We Know of Heaven, All We Know of Hell such as “Heaven”, “Winter”, and “What’s Wrong”. Towards the end of the setlist, they played “You and I”, a song from the deluxe version of White Noise which everyone loves.
Pvris ended their setlist with the first song released from their new era called “Death of Me”. This pop-y hit got everyone dancing. Rolling her in were security guards as Lynn Gunn joined the crowd. The band left the stage tricking everyone into thinking they weren’t going to play their two famous songs. They came back strong with “St. Patrick” and “My House”. Everybody in the room screamed lyrics such as “It’s my house and I think it’s time to get out.”
The band hit Chicago with a wave of all things Pvris for 24 hours as they played their set at Riot Fest the next day. The city felt extra special for those hours!
