SHINEDOWN RELEASE VIDEO FOR SINGLE "PLANET ZERO"

The multi-platinum act Shinedown just released their newest video for lead single, “Planet Zero” from the upcoming seventh studio album of the same name. The album, Planet Zero will be out April 22, 2022 via Atlantic Records.

The video opens with a quote from the band that says, “You don’t know what you’re doing, you don’t care who you ruin. Just keep the fantasy moving, it’s a hell of a show.” The video is set in a dystopian world with the band all separately interacting with a woman who, at the end of the video, is revealed to not be real. The song itself talks about the divisiveness of society especially in the last 24 months, and how there does not seem to be any way for opposite sides to communicate without consequences.

Talking about the video and the track, lead vocalist Brent Smith said, “We wanted the first visual of ‘Planet Zero’ to be unlike anything we have done previously. We chose to work with visionary director Charles De Meyer. We did not want a traditional music video feel - we wanted avant-garde, thought-provoking and surreal. Make no mistake, there is a message in the visual, a warning of what is to come, if society does not wake up, and demand the truth be told. Welcome to PLANET ZERO…”
