THIRTY SECONDS TO MARS SHARE NEW TRACK 'LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL'

Over the weekend, Thirty Seconds to Mars shared a new track from their upcoming album, It’s The End of The World, But It's A Beautiful Day. This is one of my most anticipated albums of the year since it was announced and being talked about by the band even earlier than that. This is a follow up to 2018’s America, which also was one of my favorites of the year.

“Life is Beautiful” starts with a simple piano and vocalist Jared Leto until about 30 seconds into the song, when the beat drops and it becomes a totally different song, a much bigger synthy track. This is a sound that they leaned into in the last record and from the two released tracks from this one, seems to be a big part of this one as well.

In the new track, “Life is Beautiful”, there is a lyric that, to me, is referential of “Rescue Me” from America. In “Rescue Me” Jared Leto calls himself the “king of pain” and in this song he sings the lines, “The king of pain, caught in a never ending game.” Whether intended or not, it’s a really good easter egg for fans of the band.

“As an artist, I hope to create music that connects deeply with people and our upcoming album. It’s The End Of The World But It’s A Beautiful Day is a testament to that pursuit, ‘Life is Beautiful’ is a song that examines the beauty and fragility of life, reminding us to embrace its fleeting moments and find solace in its unpredictable journey.” Leto said.

The band is composed of vocalist Jared Leto and drummer Shannon Leto officially, but Stevie Aiello is the touring bassist and keyboardist.

The song is written by Jared Leto, Shannon Leto, Imagine Dragons vocalist Dan Reynolds, Marco Daniel Borrero (MAG), and Tim Randolph.

Catch Thirty Seconds to Mars playing these songs at festivals such as Lollapalooza (Chicago), Corona Capital (Mexico), and When We Were Young Fest (Vegas) throughout the year.
