ASKING ALEXANDRIA AT THE STONE PONY IN ASBURY PARK

ASKING ALEXANDRIA AT THE STONE PONY IN ASBURY PARK

On Saturday, October 12th, the “All My Friends” US Tour stopped by The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey. The tour features Archers, The Word Alive, Memphis May Fire, and headlining band Asking Alexandria, and runs until early November.

Before the venue doors even opened, the line to get inside was wrapped around the building as excited fans waited to see their favorite metal bands. Fans spread out through the entire room, sporting all kinds of merchandise from every band on the bill.

Archers opened the night by delivering an energetic and exciting performance to pump up the crowd. Lead singer Nathaniel Pulley did an awesome job interacting with the crowd beyond the barricade, encouraging them to head bang, jump around, and dance.

After their set, The Word Alive took the stage to keep the crowd lively and engaged. Throughout the last year, the Phoenix-based band has skyrocketed into notoriety and quite a few fans at the barricade sang along with the lyrics word-for-word.

When Memphis May Fire finally began their set, the crowd was electric. The venue was packed to the brim by this point as fans lined up from wall-to-wall and made it difficult to move around. The production and visuals of the performance were unmatched with cryogenic cannons, bright laser-like lights, and plenty of energy. The set was intense and loud, and there was a constant stream of surfers and moshing (including a group of individuals dressed like bananas!).

Finally, Asking Alexandria began the final performance of the night. Their visuals were flashy, grungy, and matched the live music perfectly. The band encouraged the crowd to open up and encouraged dancing and moshing–which fans quickly jumped on. Asking Alexandria carried themselves through the performance with confidence, presumably from how many years they’ve been in the scene for.
