COLONY HOUSE AT BOWERY BALLROOM IN NEW YORK CITY

Colony House gave us New Yorkers quite the performance this past Monday at Bowery Ballroom during their Back Before You Know It Tour. Fleurie opened up the night with sweet melodies, a charming persona, and warm pink lights. A bit contrary to the rest of the night in all the right ways! The lights faded to black and after a quick set change, the band’s voices filled the speakers but with no one in sight.

With audible chatter and jokes, everyone was turning heads trying to figure out where the guys were. “Should we say it?” someone asked. “WE BACK BABY!” rang through the room. Suddenly an acoustic version of “You Know Itblasted through the venue. The crowd continued singing the song - everyone was hyped! Colony House ran out on stage ready to give us a good ol’ rock and roll show.

From insane lights to endless headbanging, non stop jumping to unmatched energy, Colony House took my breath away literally and figuratively. Playing songs old and new: “Silhouettes”, “Natural”, and “Julia” were some stand outs (not just because we have the same name!). I’ve never seen a group have so much fun on stage. Caleb and Will climbed up the drum set, singing and clapping from above. Scott and Parke were jamming away, both rocking their solos. Bowery Ballroom’s floor didn’t stop bouncing during “Waiting for My Time to Come”, which Caleb dedicated to our lovely city. If you’re searching for a night to let loose, you must catch Colony House on the rest of their tour.
