DIAMANTE AT THE WONDER BAR IN ASBURY
The world could really use a lot more women in the rock scene. When you find a good one, you hold her close and you support the absolute hell out of her. Taking the stage for her first headlining tour, “The Blue Balls Holiday Tour”, is the blue haired rocker chick, Diamante. She brought a date of the tour to The Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, NJ and gave the shore town the hard rock they’ve been looking for.
Having just come off of a summer tour with Breaking Benjamin, the solo artist took a small break before heading back out for this headliner. It’s very apparent when you see her on stage that she is not only having the best time, but she’s well versed in using her space. It was quite captivating to watch Diamante and her band absolutely tear it up. She performed songs such as “Bite Your Kiss”, “Blackheart”, and “Coming In Hot”. She also covered “Hear Me Now” by Bad Wolves, which she had been featured on as a guest vocalist. Throughout the night there was playful banter between the band and the audience.
Closing out the show, she performed “War Cry”, and left the audience at The Wonder Bar wanting more. For such an intimate space, she made it really feel like a much larger production. It’s refreshing to not only see a woman performing heavy rock hits, but to see the absolute star power behind her vocals and stage presence.
If you didn’t get the chance to catch Diamante on her “Blue Balls Holiday Tour”, I highly recommend you keep an eye out for when she heads out next!
