Put your horns to the sky and get ready for a brand new festival that promises to rock the east. Exit 111 festival, first announced in early April, is a rock festival of epic proportions. Derived from the name of the exit bringing you to the festival grounds, Exit 111 will be held at Great Stage Park in Manchester, Tennessee from October 11th through the 13th. The park is more famously known as the location of long time running Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. The grounds are already well broken in for a festival, however it might be seeing a very different crowd come October. The festival gained speed and recognition when it announced its heavy-hitting lineup including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Guns N Roses, Def Leppard, and Mastodon. A rock festival of this magnitude has been a long time coming, and according to concert goers it’s sure to make its mark in its inaugural year.

In addition to the music, organizers have made sure to add experiences to this festival for all ages and interests. Some of the activities included in your ticket are performances throughout the weekend from The Paranormal Cirque, Red Bull Freestyle Motocross Experience, and the Exit 111 Car Show, as well as a “Mega Sports Bar” on site so you don’t miss out on a play from your favorite team. As an added bonus, $1 from every ticket sold benefits SAVE [Suicide Awareness Voices of Education].

Attendees have the option to camp on site during the festival, and from looking at the map it seems like they are expecting a fairly large turnout since they are utilizing the layout tried and true from Bonnaroo. With days starting early in the afternoon and on into the night it seems like camping would be the best option for a truly immersive experience.

Three stages fittingly named ‘Heaven’, ‘Hell’, and ‘Rise Above’ will be hosting artists simultaneously, which means festival goers won’t have to look far for their next opportunity to mosh. In the wake of several new music festivals (a handful being of the rock genre) facing bad luck and either never coming to fruition or dealing with a battering of incline the weather this year, it’s safe to say that we are rooting for Exit 111 to be successful.
