LANY AT HOUSE OF BLUES IN ORLANDO, FL

From the moment the lights dimmed until the countdown struck zero and Paul Klein took the stage in front of thousands of screaming fans, LANY captivated their audience like no band I’ve seen before. This stop in Orlando was the second show on a three-month North American tour and what an honor it was to experience the spectacle they brought for Central Florida.

The room was packed and having never attended a LANY show before — strictly hearing how great it was by word of mouth — I had little to no expectations on what I was about to experience. Following the high energy performance of New Jersey native Fletcher, the crowd was locked in and ready for a night worth remembering. The show began with an old VHS style intro, paired with a countdown and ambient noises that created an uproar throughout the crowd. Slowly counting down, it was time for the band to make their appearance and the energy in the room was like nothing I’d seen before.

LANY continued onward playing hit songs like “Malibu Nights,” “If You See Her,” “Pink Skies,” “ILYSB,” and more. Paired with their onstage presence, the break taking visuals shown fit perfectly to the songs they played, creating an experience that felt nothing shy of amazing. Bringing their West Coast melodies to the East Coast was something they mentioned many times throughout the concert as having a special place in their hearts. Talking with several fans who had seen them since their first few times touring through Florida, it’s crazy to imagine their growth over the past few years going from 200 person venues to leaving no room for movement amongst a 2000 cap venue.
