MOON TOOTH AT SAINT VITUS IN BROOKLYN

MOON TOOTH AT SAINT VITUS IN BROOKLYN

Moon Tooth once again brought their presence to the legendary Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn, NY. Family, friends, and fans both old and new came to show their support. This night was a special one for me, as I was reunited with a friend from New Zealand that I met several years ago during a cruise. I have both seen Moon Tooth live and shot them several times now. With that said, you could say they have most definitely won me over as a fan for the long haul! What makes it even better when going to one of their shows is that they are always super genuine, ready to have a conversation with you (not just a quick hello), and of course the amazing energy they throw from that stage into the crowd!

I explained to my friend Adamina the best I could about how amazing of an act Moon Tooth is - everything from the music, to each member’s supreme and genius talent, to the highly driven energy they deliver. With my love for the heavy and fast sounds from a song like “Trust”, and the love for the hard hitting touch of emotions and excitement packed into the slowed down tune and masterpiece that comes from “Through Ash”, I was beyond siked to have my girl hear those tunes plus more!

I watched the crowd rock out hard; dancing, moshing, and head banging.  I watched my girl smile and gaze off as she took it all in. I watched Addy air drum to the songs and get more and more into the band as the set went on! It truly is magical to watch people become so involved and in sync to a band and the music they have created. This show was just all of that and more from start to finish. I saw a bunch of the band’s family in the one corner showing their support by cheering them on, singing along, smiling, laughing, and even crying with tears you know were created by the happiness and joy in that room.

The reason I spoke about my friend Addy on this review is to really give the reader the idea of the night. Not only the night, but the power of music and just how amazing of a band that Moon Tooth is, what they represent, what they give to the crowd, and what the crowd gives right back to them. Appreciation is definitely a word overused when speaking of Moon Tooth. The reason for that is the simplest answer of them all - they and their fans appreciate their gift of music.  Their music is growing and the sound is catching the attention of people every day; people from Brooklyn, NY and all the way to people in New Zealand. Moon Tooth is Nick Lee on guitar and backing vocals, Vin Romanelli on bass guitar, Ray Marte on drums and backing vocals, and John Carbone is lead vocals.

With the list of New Year’s Resolutions you have set yourself for 2020, make sure you edit that list after reading this. Have that list now include something about seeing Moon Tooth live in concert, buying one of their albums, or maybe even both! Until next time, keep rocking!
