NOTHING, NOWHERE AT THE TRUMAN IN KANSAS CITY
“The End of the Beginning” Tour, featuring nothing, nowhere and grandson, made its final stop in Kansas City, MO. The Truman, an up-and-coming venue in the downtown Kansas City area in The Crossroads Arts District, allowed these artists to put on their show on the last stop on a long and busy tour. However, the only thing indicating that it was the final stop of the tour was the amount of merch almost sold out. Otherwise, the energy of nothing, nowhere’s set would have told you that it was only the first night of the tour.
Starting off the night with a hard-hitting instrumental introduction, nothing, nowhere wasted no time getting the crowd amped up for the show that was about to come. The setlist included some of his most popular hits such as “Nevermore”, “Clarity in Kerosene”, and “hammer”, while also promoting his newly dropped collaborative EP with Travis Barker ‘BLOODLUST’, playing the singles “DESTRUCTION” and "TRUE LOVE".
While nothing, nowhere’s music is typically described as a melancholy sound with catchy hooks and choruses, he added a new level of energy to his live performance by adding in a drummer and live guitar player that took his music to another level, and made sure to translate his stage energy to the audience in the best way.
The room was bustling with fans of all ages, from children to even older adults, showing the widespread differences in his fanbase all coming together for one night of music. Dedicated fans lined the front of the barricade, screaming along to every word of his songs and even rapping along to some of the more intricate verses in his music. nothing, nowhere was the perfect opener for grandson, and if last night’s performance was any indication of his performance along the whole tour, it would be no surprise that he made a lot of new fans on this run.
