SHAKY KNEES FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES 2022 LINEUP

With all the delayed and cancelled festivals in 2021, it’s hard to believe we’re already looking ahead at the 2022 festival season. In fact, rock fest Shaky Knees in Atlanta just concluded their 2021 festival towards the end of October after the pandemic forced its postponement, but they’ve already turned around and announced their lineup for 2022! For reference, 2021’s festival included headliners The Strokes, Run The Jewels, and Foo Fighters. 

For the 2022 festival, the headliners are Green Day, Nine Inch Nails, and My Morning Jacket. Shaky Knees is a more rock and indie-centric festival than a lot of festivals these days, and for that the lineup is strong. Other acts on the lineup include Billy Idol, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Spoon, Japandroids, Cvrches, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Khrungbin, Death Cab for Cutie, Japanese Breakfast, Coin, Mannequin Pussy, and plenty more. It’s also always fun to find creative band names on the undercard that may be unfamiliar but the name is good enough to make you curious about them – I think “Psychedelic Porn Crumpets” might take the cake for wildest name on this one. This lineup has a lot of talent already, with more undercard acts TBA.
