SILVERSTEIN AT AMPLIFIED LIVE IN DALLAS
I really don’t even know where to begin with this one. I was so excited to finally get to see my friends in UnityTX get the recognition they deserved touring with bands like Silverstein and Amity Affliction, and I was also stoked to finally see Holding Absence. UnityTX literally had the venue almost packed to the brim before doors were ready to open and the way they came out was as if they were the headliners. It was absolutely INSANE. The crowd was moving, the energy was unmatched, and Jay never fails to disappoint on stage. Watching him perform and mosh in the pit while putting on a perfect show was just nothing short of amazing to watch and I don’t even know how you follow that.
Afterwards came Holding Absence, and they rode that wave and then some. All of those guys were bouncing around the stage, and I’m very well sure the drummer would’ve done the same had he not have had to be attached to his throne to be honest. They sounded the exactly like they do recorded and that’s a feat to be able to do live. They even had Kendrick (UNITYTX) come out for some guest vocals. The show was already so good and it was only two bands in.
Silverstein was up next and I swear every time I see them it’s like the first time. Every. Single. Time. I always love seeing Shane and the guys perform every single one of their songs to perfection. It was literally raining crowd surfers while Jay (UNITYTX) came out for guest vocals and I absolutely loved seeing him and Shane going at it.
Last but not least I finally got to see Amity Affliction after not seeing them since Warped Tour years ago. I forgot how sick they are live and honestly their set went by way too fast. I’m sad it wasn’t longer because this whole tour was just absolutely NUTS.
