WAGE WAR AT TREES IN DALLAS
It’s unusual on a Tuesday night in Deep Ellum to see the Trees venue with a line down the street of people excited to see a show, yet alone to see the venue packed from door to door, balcony seating included. Yet, that’s exactly what the show for Wage War looked like. Fans were here early to see every single band booked for this tour. Did I forget to mention it was 50 degrees and raining outside?
With Dayseeker opening you could only expect the crowd to be rowdy, and that was an understatement. It was my first time seeing them live, but I was mesmerized along with everyone else. It was such a sight to see and hear the entire venue singing along to every song. The energy was there from the start of the night.
It’s hard to believe that it would get any crazier after that, but Polaris came on next and blew my mind. From the first song, they had the barrier shaking and the mosh pits going. These guys had so much energy, and I really enjoy how great their set was. It was almost hard to get shots of them because they were all over the place!
Following them came Like Moths to Flames and they came out heavy. We had a wall of death before the end of the first song, and I remembered why I liked seeing them live all the time. With every one of their songs, it was wave after wave of crowd surfers. I was ducking and dodging behind the barrier!
Last but not least, Wage War came out like they always do - guns blazing. I hadn’t seen them since the tour with A Day to Remember a few years ago, and since then they have been doing amazing for themselves. This new album they’ve been touring for is amazing and they sounded just as good as I remembered. In the cold and rain they got this venue packed out, and they had the whole venue moving, crowd surfing, and moshing from beginning to end. It was definitely the craziest set I’ve seen to this day at Trees and it was a night to remember!
