X AMBASSADORS AT OLD NATIONAL CENTRE IN INDIANAPOLIS
“The Orion Tour”, brought to you by X Ambassadors, is the massive worldwide tour to support their newest studio album ‘Orion’. Accompanying them are Bear Hands and Verite.
Before X Ambassadors took to the stage, their first special guest, Verite, warmed up the crowd with their somber/heartache ‘bedroom pop’ style vibe. While being in the pit shooting photos of them, I found myself hooked and zoning out just listening to their vocalist sing her heart out while giving her all on her piano. They were truly an amazing band, and for them to be on the road with X Ambassadors was a great choice!
Following right after, Bear Hands came onto the stage to change the whole mood left by Verite, with their up-beat indie rock tone. The band brought all their energy for this set and I’m sure they gained some more from the crowd. With their pop inspired influence, I see them as a really great fit for the tour package.
What more could I say other than X Ambassadors puts on one hell of a show! Going into their set not knowing much about their style of music, I was truly impressed. They also know how to get a crowd hyped up and involved with their stage presence, with the vocalist Sam Harris constantly switching between singing and guitar solos, and then to absolutely give his all on incredible saxophone solos. After all that, Sam will fall to the floor, transitioning into heart belting high notes that will leave you in awe of what you’re hearing.
You can see X Ambassadors in a city near you in the U.S. throughout the remainder of the year before they travel to Australia, Asia, and Europe to finish up the remainder of the tour starting next year.
